10 x 10

1 Oct

I have been asked to take part in a show called “10 x 10” at Byard Art Gallery in Cambridge.

The show is comprised of 10 artists, exhibiting 10 two-dimensional artworks each, all of which measure 10 inches by 10 inches. It starts at 10am on the 10.10.2010 (see what they’ve done there, uh?).

I am really happy to have been asked to take part in this as it is the first time that I will be showing work at this venue and it looks like such a lovely gallery. The work I have submitted is all from my paper entomology series, but I have used this opportunity to try out a couple of new ideas, which has been great.

More info on the show can be found here.

Papercuts Exhibition

24 Jan

Hurrah and Huzzah!

After a somewhat baby orientated few weeks, I am back to work-town this month with some of my paper entomology pieces being exhibited in the new Papercuts exhibition at the Rostra Gallery in Bath.

This is an excellent turn of events as Rostra is a lovely, lovely gallery and I am very pleased to be exhibiting with them. 🙂

…to make matters even more spectacular, I will be showing alongside a bevy of girly paper artists including the wonderous Helen Musselwhite (whom I worship and adore!).

Other artists that will be involved in the show are: Laura Williams, Rebecca Coles and Frea Buckler

Papercuts will be on display at Rostra from the 29th January to the 23rd Fabruary.

Totterdown Art Trail 2009 :)

23 Nov

Oh my outrageously busy weekend…

It was the Totterdown Art Trail this weekend and as ever, it was blummin’ ace!

It was a real mission to get everything sorted this year with the little one here too, but having worked my socks off for the last couple of weeks, it all came together and I was really pleased with how my exhibition looked in the end. Jet proved to be entirely useless at helping me to get everything ready, but I think she did a good job of wooing all the punters during opening hours! 🙂

Here’s some lovely pics courtesy of the old ball and chain:

More details after the jump…

Nature’s Way

30 Mar

I have been busy busy getting everything prepared for the upcoming Nature’s Way show, starting this week at the Grant Bradley Gallery here in Bristol.

I have got my new cards all sorted and a new website – which is somewhat sparse at the moment, but should hopefully be much more interesting by the end of the week (in theory!).

You can have a look at it here or click on my new link on the right side of your screen.

Everything’s going to be all white…

9 Mar

I have been asked to participate in an exhibition about the natural world at the Grant Bradley Gallery in Bristol next month (hurrah!). There are quite a few new plans afoot for my paper entomology artwork at the moment, so for this exhibit, I have decided to do something a bit different…

Here’s a couple of pics as a taster. Hopefully they should look great in white frames up against the white walls of the gallery.

More details on the exhibition to follow.
