Hey Jenee - I just used wire to hold the birds securely and made sure I wrapped it round the wood really really tightly. It was quite a fine wire, so I could thread it through the fabric on the birds first.

Good luck!!

I have fine tuned the balancing of the branch from rocking/tipping left to right by placing the birds and eye hook in different positions; however, I can not figure out how to stop the branch from spinning and flipping the birds upside down, with their weight hanging (but they are balanced left to right just wrong side up). Any advice?

Hey Sophie,
Thanks fro asking, but no, I don't sell these. I am nowhere near good enough at silversmithing to be trying to make money out of it. If you do want a necklace made like this, I can recommend this guy: www.thomasnayler.co.uk

I have seen some o fthe stuff he makes in person and I think his prices seem really reasonable.

Thanks Bejeweled!
I just used an old bangle that I had at home that I never wore.
I used watered down PVA glue to stick the layers of paper and then I coated the whole thing in another thick layer of PVA to protect it.
I think in future I might use a proper varnish on the top coat as this would be slightly more waterproof!
