Bristol Affordable Arts Fair 2013

YAY! It’s the Bristol Affordable Arts Fair this weekend. Being in my home town, this if one of the rare occasions that there is a show with my work in it that I can actually go to.
The private view starts tomorrow night between 7-9pm and then the show starts officially from Friday 26th April – Sunday 28th at the Passenger Shed by Bristol Temple Meads.

Library of Lost Books

Early last year I was selected as one of 50 contemporary artists and printmakers to take part in The Library of Lost Books. This is an ongoing project which intends to rescue old, discarded and damaged books, donated by the Library of Birmingham. Once all the books have been reworked, they will then be displayed as part of the opening festival for the new Library of Birmingham this summer. The exhibition will then tour round various other venues across the UK.

Here are some pics of a piece I made for Red Magazine Interiors.

The brief was to include samples from the Tricia Guild Autumn/Winter 2012 wallpaper collection. I put these together with other bits from my massive paper mountain like old envelopes, musical scores and vintage hand written letters.

Chuffed with the results – quite a different feel from my usual marble paper pieces.

Stockholm Affordable Art Fair 2012

This October saw the first ever Affordable Art Fair in Stockholm.
It was a good one for me – The Crown Prince of Sweden bought a piece of my work, I made Swedish telly and then went on to have a sell out show – HURRAH!!

I have just found this clip from TV4 online, which shows a bit of the fair and a bit of chat about my work. Haven’t got a clue what they’re on about, but y’know…

Bristol Affordable Arts Fair 2012

Just to let y’all know that I will have a large selection of work up for grabs all this weekend at the Bristol Affordable Arts Fair.
The show starts with the private view this Thursday evening and then continues until 5pm on Sunday 20th.

Grand Designs Live 2012

Just a quicky to say that I will have work on a stand for Cube Gallery at the 2012 Grand Designs Live show starting in London this weekend. The show is being held at Excel and will run from the 5th – 13th May.

Glasgow Art Show 2012

Och! I have some work up for sale in a show this weekend called the Glasgow Art Show. This is a brand new international art fair which is being held in The Grand Ballroom, Thistle Glasgow located on Renfrew Street in the centre of Glasgow.

The show opens for a private view tonight from 18.30 – 21.30, and then will be open to the public as follows:

Friday 23rd March 2012: 11.00 – 18.00 – £6 Concessions £4
Saturday 24th March 2012: 11.00 – 18.00 – £6 Concessions £4
Sunday 25th March 2012: 11.00 – 17.00 – £6 Concessions £4

Randomly, I would appear to be on a roll with Homes and Antiques magazine as they have featured my work in their magazine AGAIN this month – huzzah!
I had one of my images in the March issue on one of the shopping pages, but this month I have a piece of work and a bit of a mention in one of the featured homes – I am so pleased!

The lovely home belongs to Ellie and Dan Hudson who live in Clifton, Bristol. Nice

Homes & Antiques Magazine

Look out – there’s only a picture of some of my work in the March issue of Homes & Antiques magazine!!

Weirdly, the publisher didn’t actually tell me about it. I knew they were considering my work as I had sent them some images, but I didn’t know I was actually going to get into print. Luckily an upholsterer that I know spotted this issue and let me know, as did my mate’s Mum!

I’ve never read Homes & Antiques magazine before. I always thought it would be really granny, but I was quite surprised to find that I really like it.
I’d describe it as a being bit like flicking through Living Etc. whilst half watching The Antiques Roadshow.
Mmmm, Sundays……
